Jonathan Giles – Atlanta Comedian, Writer and EBONY Editor
Jonathan Giles is an Atlanta-based stand-up comedian, professional speaker, writer and editor at EBONY Media, known for his fearless, improvisational comedy and razor-sharp social observations.
As a comedy writer, he has written for network television shows including NBC’s A Little Late with Lilly Singh and ABC’s Generation Gap. He’s also the creator of original projects like the Colored Comedy sketch series, the web series I’m Trying, and his own half-hour comedy special.
On stage, Jonathan blends absurd humor, insightful storytelling, and unscripted crowd work, performing at comedy festivals, clubs, and theaters nationwide. He co-hosts the acclaimed Repent Storytelling Show and headlines his experimental live comedy series The “What Is This?” Show, where audience interaction fuels spontaneous comedic moments.
Beyond comedy, Jonathan brings his storytelling expertise to professional speaking
engagements, delivering dynamic talks and workshops on creativity, media, and the
power of humor. As an editor and writer at EBONY, he’s deeply engaged in
conversations around identity, culture, and entertainment, making him a compelling
voice both on stage and off.
Jonathan is currently available for stand-up comedy bookings, speaking
engagements, and creative collaborations across the country.
